Indian politician hails Vietnam’s proactive foreign policy

In an increasingly complex global context, Party General Secretary and President To Lam’s emphasis on five priorities of Vietnam’s foreign policy, including increasing multilateral diplomacy and promoting Vietnam’s role as an active and responsible member of the international community, demonstrates the country’s strong commitment to strengthening its participation on the global stage.

This was stated by G. Devarajan, General Secretary of the All India Forward Bloc (AIFB), in an interview with the Vietnam News Agency.

According to Devarajan, these priorities are in line with Vietnam’s long-term national interests. He believes that strengthening multilateral diplomacy and improving international relations will enable Vietnam to consolidate its economic position by attracting more foreign investment, expanding trade partnerships and accessing new markets. He went on to say that this reflects a progressive approach to Vietnam’s foreign policy.

The Indian politician stressed the importance of this foreign policy in the context of tensions in the East Sea, where Vietnam continues to defend its interests while respecting international law.

However, G. Devarajan also noted that the current geopolitical challenges would require careful diplomacy and collective commitment. Vietnam’s proactive foreign policy, according to him, will play a decisive role in building a resilient and influential nation on the international stage.

Furthermore, the AIFB Secretary General welcomed the reiterated commitment by Secretary General and President To Lam to continue fighting corruption and negative practices, following the principle of relentless fight, no no-go areas, no exceptions, regardless of the identity of the person. According to him, the current efforts to fight corruption will play a crucial role in determining the future of Vietnam, contributing to building a more transparent, accountable and equitable society.
