It was a meeting which brought together several personalities including the Minister of the Interior and Security, Vagondo Diomandé, as well as the Minister of Youth Promotion, Professional Integration and Civic Service, Touré Mamadou. Thus, on occasion, several points were raised, including the strengthening of cooperation between Côte d’Ivoire and the EU.

According to the Vice President of the commission, Margaritis Schinas, “the European Union and Ivory Coast defend the same principles, the same values, we are on the same side. There is no doubt, the quality of this cooperation will be strengthened in the years to come.”

Indeed, the Ivory Coast and the EU have been carrying out joint actions for years. At least that’s what we can take from the words of the Vice-President of the EU Commission. He adds that Ivory Coast is a loyal and important partner because it is “a den of stability in a region which is not the most stable and which is facing threats”.
