Ukrainian Foreign Minister Joins Czech Ambassador Meeting

The annual meeting of Czech ambassadors to the world began on Monday in Prague, in the presence of the head of Ukrainian diplomacy, Dmytro Kouleba.

“I’m here to thank you for everything you’ve done for us. We are grateful for all the political and military support. (…) Ukraine’s victory will destroy Putin’s plan to ruin the European economy,” Dmytro Kouleba said in his speech.

The ambassadors, who will be received on Tuesday by President Petr Pavel, meet for three days at the Černín Palace, the seat of Czech diplomacy, to discuss various issues of international, European, security and economic policy, all this in the context of the war in Ukraine.

For his part, Prime Minister Petr Fiala said Russia’s “imperial policy” posed the biggest security threat to the Czech Republic.

According to the head of government, the Czech Republic must also be vigilant with regard to China, which observes the conflict in Ukraine according to its own ambitions for power. Petr Fiala also addressed the issue of energy security, saying that the delivery of French and American nuclear fuel is one of the essential conditions for the energy independence of the Czech Republic.
