Tô Lâm hands over appointment decision to Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos

To Lam highlighted the special and sincere relations between the two countries, which have played an important role in Vietnam’s security and development, and are a major priority of Vietnam’s foreign policy. He described these ties as a valuable asset of the two nations, which have been built, nurtured and developed by generations of leaders and peoples of the two countries.

The leader expressed his belief that with his vast experience in foreign affairs, Nguyen Minh Tam will contribute to strengthening and enriching the Vietnam-Laos relations, advancing the relationship in all areas and bringing tangible benefits to the Parties, States and peoples of the two countries.

He also asked Nguyen Minh Tam to continue to closely monitor the situation in the country and the host country to propose policies and strategies, thus contributing to the development of bilateral relations amid increasingly complex developments in the region and the world.

Tô Lâm stressed that Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam should promote his role as a bridge and develop Vietnam-Laos special relations in the fields of politics, diplomacy, economy, trade, culture and tourism, among others.

For his part, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam promised to do his best for the common interest. He pledged to make every effort to develop Vietnam-Laos relations in a thorough and effective manner in all fields.

In addition, he hoped to continue to receive the guidance of the Party General Secretary and President of the Republic and the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, relevant ministries and branches to accomplish his tasks, meeting the expectations of the leaders of the two Parties, the two countries to raise Vietnam-Laos special relations to a new height.
