Thua Thien Hue promotes cooperation with Lao province of Savannakhet

They also carried out a mid-term evaluation of the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement for the period 2022-2026 between the two provinces signed in December 2022.

Secretary of the Party Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Le Truong Luu proposed that the two sides strengthen cooperation in politics and diplomacy, improve the efficiency of cooperation in all fields, especially tourism, trade and investment.

The two sides should effectively exploit the East-West Economic Corridor; study supporting policies to use the services of Chan May Port to diversify the structure of export products; and create favorable conditions for workers living and working in Savannakhet province, he said.

For his part, Bounchom Oubonpaseuth expressed his hope that the two localities would continue to strengthen cooperation in various fields, especially in the development of agricultural and rural production and tourism.

Savannakhet province always creates favourable conditions for Vietnamese workers, including those from Thua Thien Hue province, to conduct business on its soil, he added.
