Organized by the Ministry of Defense, this second edition aims to share achievements and experiences in the research, production and use of weapons and technical equipment, and to promote cooperation in the field of industry defense between Vietnam and participating countries.
According to Brigadier General Lê Quang Tuyên, deputy director of the General Department of Defense Industry of the Ministry of Defense, this exhibition will cover an area of approximately 100,000 m².
The highlight of the event will be a welcome flyover by the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) Air Force during the opening ceremony. It will also offer, among other things, martial arts shows and seminars.
National and international defense companies will present combat vehicles, technological solutions, weapons and equipment for the entire navy, army, air defense and air forces.
Themed “Peace, Friendship, Cooperation for Common Development”, the fair aims to convey to the world a message in favor of peace, demonstrating the spirit of Vietnam, friend of all countries in the world, partner responsible and reliable international community and the country’s hope to develop defense diplomacy, multilateralism and cooperation for peace, stability and mutual development.
This event should contribute to the strengthening of commercial activities and the search for partners and potential markets to participate in the production, supply and export chain of Vietnam’s defense products; and promote the image of Vietnamese land and people as well as the VPA to the world, thereby elevating Vietnam’s political position and voice in the international arena.
In 2022, the first Vietnam International Defense Exhibition attracted 175 defense industry companies from 31 countries and territories, 25,000 specialized visitors, 300 national delegations and 52 international delegations. As part of the event, 80 bilateral meetings and 15 technical presentation sessions were organized.
