Cultural Exchange: Chrysoula Zacharopoulou Joins Canal France International

Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, Secretary of State to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in charge of development, the Francophonie, and international partnerships, opens this Tuesday, July 11 the Media and Development forum organized by Canal France International (CFI ).

The French media development agency (CFI) is bringing together in Paris until July 13 more than 300 journalists from 40 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Arab world to discuss the theme “Meeting the information challenges.

The participation of the Secretary of State in this event is a new opportunity to illustrate France’s support for all those who defend the freedom to inform, in favor of the independence of the media, freedom of the press as well as as our commitment to building a trusted information space.

For the past year, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ms Catherine Colonna, has made support for the media and access to independent, reliable and quality information a priority for French diplomacy.
